A jazzy and fun mystery!
This was my first full audiobook and I was pleasantly surprised.
The story is a rather delightful mystery in the vein of Nancy Drew. All of the pieces are there for the reader to figure out what is going on. There are a couple of plot points that stretch credulity, but it's a middle grade read, so that's not too bad.
The narration is fantastic and gives the listener a great feel for the sound and culture of the area. The sound effects enhance without being intrusive, and the jazz interludes and songs are nice touches. Recommended for kids of all ages; I will be listening to the next audiobook in the series!

Fun little mystery
If I am honest, I didn’t expect much when I picked up this book on Audible a few months ago. However, after listening, I found Viva Durant and the Secret of the Silver Buttons to be a delightful middle-grade mystery that was accompanied by a pleasing soundtrack. I would recommend to YA readers and those looking for a fun story with a bit of New Orleans culture.

Fantastic story and captivating for all ages!
The story, music, and narration blended together perfectly for a fun and mysterious adventure! I've already recommended it to every parent I know who has children old enough to listen to books, because it's incredibly fun to listen to together. The richness of the story combined with the warmth of the characters went well together, and it's lovely to have more examples for young girls to see themselves in literature!
