Weak weak weak

I prefer a stronger female. This chick had just been attacked. She had bruises for 2 weeks. And she just let the guy get away with it? Hell no. She should’ve gone to the hospital, documented her injuries, and had him arrested. She was brutalized and let down by everyone including herself.

Improbable and disappointing

This book held my attention, which is why I gave it three stars, but it had so much stupidity in it, that I can’t say I liked it. For starters, I can’t wrap my brain around the female h not calling the police and filing assault charges. It should have been the first thing she did, along with a trip to the hospital. From there, it just got dumber. And the fact that the h quietly accepts what the H says without lashing out until the end also makes no sense. There is a reason readers hate Dolores Umbridge more than Lord Voldemort. When Harry has to write “I will not tell lies” into his skin for telling the truth, we hate her for punishing him for something he didn’t do. Here, too, we hate Ryan for the same thing. Worse, he betrays her then offers to forgive her. It makes zero sense that she doesn’t defend herself or even go on the offensive. Then there is all the traveling this woman with pre-eclampsia does. As someone who was once on bed rest, the idea of not just one, but multiple doctors giving the go ahead for cross country flights and travel is absurd. The idea that when the doctor tells her she needs to avoid stress she doesn’t use that info to get him out of her face also makes no sense. She doesn’t even tell him that HE is the cause of her stress even though she cries like a waterfall through the whole book. The entire thing was just too unbelievable and too annoying to be enjoyable. And when the end came, it was impossible to believe that seven months of grief and pain are washed away in a single act of begging for forgiveness. It just doesn’t work that way. I don’t buy it. Not even a little.

Narrator brings down the whole story

Good story, but narrator sounds like his dentures are loose , very distracting. Still a good story though.

an ok story but not the best book.

Not bad, just ok. LOTS of angst. Kelly forgave Ryan way too quickly but hey....not my monkeys; not my circus.

DNF

This book didn't make any sense. The main male character was weak and dumb. It didn't make any sense why the girl took him back because he was stupid. I would not recommend this book.
