Great writing, unfortunate narration

the story is gripping like all Amish's books, however listening to the narration is unoriginal. I have listened to many audio books, but the narration here is so much like all the other Indian narrations, it doesn't fit well, how do I say it. its very clinical and I dont feel the emotions. I am not saying Indian narrations are bad. it just doesn't compete with the usual narrations of the other audio books.
