Publisher's Summary
Hunt the bots. Avoid the carbons. Stay alive.
Sawyer’s life is simple, if not easy. Her home might be in ruins, but she can protect what’s left of it.
A city destroyed by the bots - that’s home. Humans have been hunted, but Sawyer is one of a few who have turned the tables. She’s a Watcher. Taking out the bots one by one. Protecting what’s left. It’s the carbons she needs to be wary of. Faster and stronger than humans, they’re dangerous. But Sawyer’s smarter. That will keep her alive.
At least, that’s what she believed. But the carbons are evolving, and their plans are ever more cunning. Suddenly, her friends are dying. Safety can no longer be taken for granted - not even for the Watchers. At least she has Kenzie. Love is a strong word, but whatever they have, it’s what keeps her going.
Embarking on a desperate mission to save humanity from extinction, Sawyer discovers that the line between friend and foe is no longer easily drawn when one of her own betrays them.
And when a horrific plan comes to fruition, Sawyer will have a choice: who to save, and who to let go.
That's the first book in the Watcher series. With this box set of the series, you never need to put your book down to finish this science fiction action romance.

Loved it
This audio book set was amazing! From beginning to end and including the novellas, it was gripping. I couldn’t stop listening. The characters and story were just written so well. The narrators were perfect for this.

Carrying the world on your small shoulders
A Dystopian YA tale of the power of every small resistance and glimmer of light and love in a dark world. An uncannily prophetic voice about the outcome of manipulating the human genome in a vain search for perfection and nirvana in an imperfect reality.
The performance by Steve Campbell and Chelsea Stephens is beyond excellent. Hold on for a fast-paced coming of age ride with unexpected twists and turns, engaging and relatable characters, some you will love, and some you will love to hate, and yet others you will want to punch or shake in frustration. Only a good author combined with great narrators can create this level of connection.

Bad sci-fi. Okay teen romance?
Thought it was going to be a cool dystopian apocalyptic sci-fi novel. Even listened to the sample first. BUT. Somewhere around chapter 10 it turned into a teen romance and focused on that so long I lost all interest. 😒

Don’t listen to this
I did not enjoy how the the story line was chopped up. It did not help to develop empathy or excitement for the characters. At the end I was disappointed I spent so much time with listening to the story line. I will not listen to another from the author. Ahhhh

Book 3 of the set is the worst
book one was okay book 2 was mid book 3 was infuriatingly stupid! I don't have the vocabulary to describe a bad book 3 was I literally couldn't take it anymore at chapter 52 and just quit.
