À propos de cet audio
London, 2044. Britain is a republic. President Jan Polak has vanished overnight from Buckingham Palace, just weeks before an election. Has he been kidnapped? Or even killed? One man is determined to find out - as soon as he's had his breakfast. His name is Pond. Howie Pond - the president's official spokesperson and wannabe secret agent.
With just a love of James Bond films to guide him, Howie sets out on a mission to solve the missing-president mystery. But with his journalist girlfriend, Britt, soon onto the story, the race is on to see who gets to the truth first.

Well, a lot can go wrong. I believe you need to be in the right frame of mind to read or listen to this book, and I just wanted something I didn’t have to really think about as I worked today. This book requires you to visualize the scenarios. My frame of mind didn’t find anything funny even the reporter jumping on cars to get through traffic in order to get a scoop, I found irritating rather than amusing. Now that I visualize it as I am writing this review however, I chuckle because it is rather silly.
I think you need to be in the same frame of mind you would be in, if watching a sitcom, so you can envision the scenes in this book as scenes in a show and laugh at the silly antics. Otherwise it just seems boring and you start to despise the reporter.
The new world was so ludicrous it was actually funny, cause why would the British adopt an American governing system just because tech went down? they would just get more tech and make themselves bigger and better, they would never conform and be satisfied with being a secondary US.
You need to be in the right frame of mind
