This book was so good had me laughing all throughout. Great story and awesome narration as usual by Ms Eyre, it's worth thee reading

Beauty and the Beast
Wonderful story of Alexander Moncrieffe, Duke of Falconbridge, a man feared by the ton because of his control and dark demeanour, and Genevieve Eversea, a kind, although also quite controlled, lady who's brother has done the Duke wrong. Amazing chemistry between these two despite their denying it. If you enjoy a "Beauty and the Beast" story this one is definitely for you. Ms Long's writing style will keep you glued to the pages. I "read" this as an audio book, and recommend Justine Eyre as a narrator.

Loved it -very entertaining
The delightfully wicked sense of humour of the author was introduced very early it this story. Made me laugh out loud…. Often. The narrator is awesome.

Beautifully written!
I just noticed another of my favourite author’s (equally brilliant) Julia Quinn has said she’s in awe of Julie Anne Long’s talent - and I agree. The writing is wonderful! Both Quinn and Long have picked two of my favourite narrators too. (Landor and Eyre are astonishing.) Genius all around! The Pennyroyal Green series is something to savour. All beautiful! Funny, poetic, witty and romantic! I love her use of words.

Funny, Spicy and perfect
This was my first book from this author and narrator and both did not disappoint!

Characters are lacking
Story was ok expect the characters are not very likeable. Most are pompous and spoiled. The main male character is insufferable.
