"Who is going to tell these little girls that what was done to them matters? That they are seen and valued, that they are not alone and they are not unprotected?"
Rachael Denhollander's voice was heard around the world when she spoke out to end the most shocking scandal in US gymnastics history. The first victim to publicly accuse Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics team doctor who abused hundreds of young athletes, Rachael now reveals her full story for the first time. How did Nassar get away with it for so long? How did Rachael and the other survivors finally stop him and bring him to justice? And how can we protect the vulnerable in our own families, churches, and communities?
What Is a Girl Worth? is the inspiring true story of Rachael's journey from an idealistic young gymnast to a strong and determined woman who found the courage to raise her voice against evil, even when she thought the world might not listen. This deeply personal and compelling narrative shines a spotlight on the physical and emotional impact of abuse, why so many survivors are reluctant to speak out, what it means to be believed, the extraordinary power of faith and forgiveness, and how we can learn to do what's right in the moments that matter most.

Excellent, Excruciating, Essential
Rachael’s work in this book, as in the quest for justice she recounts in it, is uniformly excellent. Her strength, tenacity, and professionalism throughout are exemplary, even while it is a sorrowful testament to our society that all such were necessary. She should never have had cause to do any of this nor write about it, and her work and cause are hence to be all the more appreciated, commended, and promoted. The book is excruciating to read; to all but survivors, it is unimaginable to write, let alone to endure the antecedents to the writing. Her work before, within, and following this book are essential to all with human empathy and a righteous conscience. I recommend this book to all who it would not be to traumatizing to endure.
Sister, Warrior, walk onward in honour.

The most impactful book I have ever heard.
This is a must listen/read. Words cannot do it justice but, the truth and clarity Rachael brings to the completely devastating reality of sexual abuse is life-changing. You will not leave this book the same as when you came to it. This is one of the greatest books of our time.

Heartbreaking and Inspiring
Thank you Rachael for being so vulnerable, sharing you story and your faith. Thank you for being an advocate for so many who needed it. We read your book What is a Little Girl Worth while on a mission trip to Kenya. We also left some copies there and pray that your message spreads far and wide. I promised to read/listen to your story when I got back and I just finished it. It was hard to listen to but well written/read and you shared the important message for people to stand up and do the right thing even when it’s hard. Thank you and God bless.

Powerful, honest and incredible
Rachel Denhollander is a hero. She is strong, intelligent, courageous and inspirational. She tells this story through her lived experiences in a way whereby she draws her readers in... to a place that unthinkable for most of us, but raw and emotional. I can’t recommend this book enough. Not only was the story well told, she educated us on the importance of recognizing the “grooming” process and speaking up despite all odds. Absolutely could not stop listening! She is also an amazing narrator, her tone and story telling abilities could not have been more perfect for this tough to navigate topic.
