Publisher's Summary

Beautifully tender and unforgettably funny, prepare to fall in love with this modern-day nod to a classic romantic comedy.

Ever since their chance encounter as seatmates on the plane ride from hell, Harry “Harrison” Fields and Harry “Henry” Lee have had a love-hate relationship. But every time their paths have crossed over the years, they’ve grown to like each other more and more, even developing an unlikely friendship.

Now, Harrison is a fun-loving music teacher who wears his heart on his sleeve, and Henry is a hard-driving business man who’s still striving to get out of his father’s shadow.

As they go through life’s inevitable heartaches and losses, their friendship only deepens. Sure, there’s always been a simmering attraction between them, but nothing worth threatening their friendship over...until one of them takes things too far. But when a valuable friendship hangs in the balance, is a chance at romance worth the price?

Nope.

I don't think I've ever talked back to a book more than I did with this one. There were so many things I didn't believe (like the chemistry between most characters) and things I didn't like (many things characters said and the chapter intro music to start...) Literally the only redeeming quality was that it was (meant to be) a queer love story. I'd rate it lower but I don't want queer content being low on anyone's radar, though, this deserves it.

Meh

I couldn't get into this. The stupid sound between chapters is very annoying. It's reminiscent of that sound that children's books on tape would make telling you to turn the page. I would return it but Amazon has decided I've returned too many books. The narrators are great though. The story is lacking.

Incredible narration

Absolutely beautiful story that tugged at my heartstrings. So captivating. it had me distraught whenever I would have to stop listening and I was always eager to get through more of it. And the performance of the narrators was truly something!

Sweet love story

Sweet love story 🥰 Great characters. A bit long? Thought it would be spicier but that’s ok. Very cute!

Good story, rush end

Here you can find well-developed characters and an honest and good story and, even though you know the end from the beginning, the storytelling is amusing. My only problem would be the end, and ok, it was building to that but, still, too rush the results of the last chapter. I’m grateful for the epilogue though, I need a bit more of them

A lot of saying... not enough showing

This could've been so much more it hurts.
The book is way, way too short. A lot of the details in the story are just casually skipped and they just tell us about it. Instead of making scenes out of it.

A lot of the good times Henry and Harrison supposedly had are just skipped making the bad parts and the sadder parts of the story so, so much more worse. As a result the ending itself didn't feel good at all for me. All that heartache for very little to none pays off.
I really do feel for the characters. it's just that the narrative didn't give us enough of a chance to savour the tenderness and sweetness of it all.
It's like smelling the most wonderful dessert you ever knew. Only for you to realise it's all completely gone. That wonderful smell of it all the taste you'll ever have or will ever have. This is exactly what I felt about this book

The time Henry and Harrison spend together like the hangouts, dinner, their deep conversation together, and especially the hot sexy times they did together should have been a detailed scene and not just telling us about it.

The epilogue is also pretty short just like most romance books I read personally. However in this case it hurts even worse. All the heartbreaks, heartaches and separation really didn't pay off in the end.
Why? because the narrative didn't build a solid sense of connection between Harrison's and Henry's relationship and the audience. The book simply just skipped so much of the good times. So when the conflict between their relationship arrives.
I just felt bad, sad, and empty because we didn't have much scenes about the sweet and tender moments to remember while I listen in complete misery.
Then the marriage is also skipped and they just told us they got married... HURRAY....
Like really? come on mate!

One fact about human mind: Humans feel and remember the worse parts about something more than the good parts. So as you can see; skipping a lot of good, heartwarming, and smoking sexy scenes is not very ideal at all. Especially if the story has multiple prolonged heartbreaking moments happening one after another in short intervals. It feel relentless and tiresome. I just want some sweet and heartfelt moments in a scenes a lot more than they skipped at least.

The story itself could have been so much more incredible.
If only it's been twice as long. So the author could've added more details when Harrison and Henry were spending time and hot moments together. Perhaps the pay off would've been a lot better. Then maybe I could really have tried a taste of that tender and sweet dessert after all...

A very ‘Slow Burn’ story

Not bad but not very engaging. Narrators were great as usual but the story line was agonizingly slow and I skipped to the end about 3/4 of the way through. Not one I’ll listen to again.

Fabulous!

I love the movie When Harry met Sally, so of course, when I heard there was a remake with two fellas as the MCs I was all in.
It's just as wonderful as the movie, with the delight of being modern, and more sex.
The narration was great!
