Publisher's Summary

The golden rule of shallow flings is not to get attached, right? Well, Havana Ramos broke it. Big time. There's just something about Tate Devereaux that pulls at her. Assertive, compelling, and self-assured, the Alpha cat shifter pushes every one of her best buttons. Like really, really hard. Having overheard an enlightening conversation, she knows he won't give her more than a fling-something, to be fair, he'd told her well in advance. If she doesn't want her heart to get bruised, it's time to end what little they have. It's not like he'll care or anything. Except...it turns out that he does.

Newly appointed Alpha Tate Devereaux is never bothered when women walk away. He can't exactly blame them, given his distrustful cat's habit of withdrawing from relationships. But when lone shifter Havana ends their fling, everything within Tate rebels against it - including his cat. Even as she and Tate work together to crush the threat looming over her, Havana holds him at arm's length. But if she thinks she can end their fling with no real explanation and that he'll just tip his hat and walk away, she's forgotten one very important thing - there's nothing easy about shaking off an Alpha.

Contains mature themes.

Not memorable

The type of sex scenes in this book was just not my thing. The wording and the man handling was a bit much. Personal preference that's all, however good story line

Great Book

I love these novels, yet the Narrative isn't great. In this book she did better then the last one but its still not fantastic, very robotic.

Suzanne Wright does it again!!!

The story of two damaged people who just have casual lives because they are two broken come together. The heat between the two and the recklessness of each other is perfect. I do feel that Suzanne's books have too many naughty scenes but they are good/repetitive. Having two Alpha characters makes it interesting and the possy that the main female character is hilarious. Can't wait for the next book.

Loved it

Absolutely loved this audiobook. It’s another awesome book in the continuing series by Suzanne Wright with cameos of previous characters from The Mercury Pack Series and The Phoenix Pack Series.

Great story but I miss Jill Redfield!

The story is great as always, but Samantha Cook isn't the best fit. Honestly, she would be fine if she had spent an hour listening to any of the Phoenix Pack or Mercury Pack books. Her voices for characters introduced in those series suck. She makes Dominic sound like a whiny creep not the sexy god from the prior books who just happens to spout off crazy stuff. She even made Taryn sound airy not like the bada** she is.

Please bring back Jill Redfield! Or at least make Samantha Cook listen to at least one of the old books!!

A wonderfully crazy adventure.

I am a big fan of all Suzanne Wright stories and this is no exception. Tate and Havana are perfect for each other. Havana is a very strong woman who knows what is better for herself and will make the hard choices just because they are right. Tate is a work in progress but when he makes up this mind nothing will stop him. It is always fun to check in with the Devereaux family. And I loved Bailey and Aspen. They made me laugh so hard.

🌻Better than the last couple of books!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I just love SW’s series. They are sexually explicit and contain quite a bit of violence but, it fits the world she has built. I absolutely loved the Mercury and Phoenix pack series, therefore, I was excited to see the announcement of this series. Unfortunately, the last couple of books have been a bit flat and a bit of a disappointment. However, the plot of this book was much more exciting and seemed more complete.

In addition, the narration by Samantha Cook, has book quite good. Her voices aren’t quite as sexy as the past narrator, but good, none the same.

I’m eagerly anticipating the next release, in this series.

over all three stars because of narrator

The story was five stars. Bailey and Aspen were hilarious. The problem I have with listening to this and the first book is narrator. When characters from The Phenoix and Mercury books were brought into these, it really got to the way the dominant makes sounded like pansies. Don't get me started about Greta's voice. I love the characters from this new series however this probably will be my last audiobook if Samantha Cook is continued to be the narrator.

AmazBalls!!!

Great character development and world building. I love this series and the previous two other series. I’m so glad Tate found a great partner she is a great main character and her girls were hilarious. The narrator was amazing as always. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Treat those how you want to be treated

The bear cat and mamba are hilarious best friends. Suzanne knows how to bring to life these shifters and I love it. It was nice to add members of the Phoenix and Mercy even for a brief moment. Can't wait for book #3.

This book really explored the moral of how you treat people. It can sometimes come back to haunt you in ways you never expected and karma never forgets. So beware.

Samantha Cook's narration is good. I wish her male voices were a little more distinct but overall a nice job.

Great book!

Havana and Tate make a great pair. Unfortunately both are blinded by the truth of their feelings toward each other and what that means not only to themselves, but also what their choice to explore a commitment will bring to them and the Pride. Of course there is always complications! Not everything goes as planned! Suzanne’s books are always red hot! This is a great addition to this series!

Love the story love the people but no no no to Samantha Cook. She messed it up for me .. She really made the people from the Phoenix Pack sound weak , I don't like it at all please start over with Jill ! Even the ones in this series could be read better 😥

Loved it!

I love the way the female characters are very strong, bullheaded, and know what they want. I like the story just as much. This is my second book so I was familiar with some of the characters. I like have she involved some characters from the first book into this book.

Sympa !
