This book addressed a common desire - to know what God is saying to us. It does so by breaking up into a number of ways God speaks to us. I took from this book that often times, hearing from God is dependent on us learning to listen to the multiple modes of communication. I appreciate the author’s signature style of including personal anecdotes as well as interesting factoids that convey his points. It is effective and memorable. I also like his reading style.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting to be closer to God or looking for ways to understand how to hear his “voice”. Another good Batterson book!

Great book by Mark Batterson. Thank he presentation style is clear but almost like a good computer generated voice and was a little off putting initially. What is amazing is how God did speak to me as I read this book. It is packed with really great illustrations and anecdotes you’ll want to bookmark to come back to or share with your friends and family. It is the book, Audible’s app was invented for. It is high yield, but can be a bit dense, so listen for a bit, make notes, take a break and think about it. Then come back for more later. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to hear the voice of God. Enjoy.

Excellent advice provided by Mark. It was a bit challenging to listen to the audiobook due to the high number of footnotes, which we missed out on in the audiobook.

I made the mistake of using 1 credit to listen to the audio version of this book. Stick to reading your bible. References to dark night of the soul and other Catholic teachings which are unbiblical.

If you want to grow closer to God read or listen to proven Godly men such as George Muller, Hudson Taylor...etc.

Stay away from this book or audible reading!
