I loved the Jeaniene Frost books. I have followed her books all the way through and I have enjoyed every one. I love how she has built onto each of the characters, and how we get snippets of many of them in each of her books. I don't think I'll ever have the same feelings that I did when each of them were introduced in the original Huntress series, but these spinoffs are just as interesting and a good read. The narration was a little bumpy in parts (the accent was coming and going in some areas) but I'm still a fan of Tavia Gilbert and will continue listening to her reads.

I haven't even finished it yet, but it has had me laughing out loud! Such a great story line, and Tavia Gilbert does an incredible job bringing the characters to life.

I really enjoyed the whole story over the 3 books. As with all her main characters, she has created 3 dimensional "people" that you can't help falling in love with. You genuinely care about them and what happens to them. This whole storyline with Ian and Veritas was great. So many surprises revealed about them that added to the overall story begun with Cat and Bones. My only fear is that one day, the story will be over and we'll have to leave all these wonderful people we love behind.

So I'm not a fan of bringing in gods/goddess into a story as I find that they can get muddled up rather quickly. In fact reading all the reviews I was reluctant to include this book onto my list.
However,
It's Jeaniene Frost! I'm not going to by pass on this one.
The combination of Veritas' past, other relms, and the origin of her and Ian were put together so beautifully I'm glad I didn't bypass based on another's preferences.
