Not your typical romance or happily ever after type of books. I enjoyed how the story carried on in the second book (which is included). They each have their own problems and unique personalities. The books leave a lot to your imagination but also take you along for the journey of a slow burn romance.

An unlikely duo team up to doll out justice and vengeance in equal measure and perhaps find the happiness they seek within each other. Action, murder, deceit, conspiracy and of course gay romance await you in this thrilling tail.

I loved the characters and the world-building. There was an excellent plot beyond the love story, yet the love story was also gorgeous, subtle, slow, and truly romantic. In my opinion, the voice actor did a very good job for all the characters apart from Harper. He felt a bit flat and less expressive than the written dialogue indicated. I would still highly recommend this audiobook. I hope the author publishes more books soon.
