Publisher's Summary

I was 21 when the gypsy read my future:

As punishment for your crimes, you will only love one woman...but she'll never love you back.

I didn't believe a word of it.

Until I met Sofia Romano almost 10 years later.

I fell hard for this woman. Would die for this woman.

But she left me.

Now, years have passed, and Sofia needs a husband. Her father is gone, and her mother is trying to marry her off to a man that can protect their family, protect their company.

She's looking for someone powerful.

Check.

Someone rich.

Check.

Someone handsome.

Double check.

Now, it's my chance to have the only woman I've ever loved...and I'll make sure she feels the same way.

I have a lifetime to make that happen.

I DON’T KNOW WHYYYYYY

I have EVERY AUDIOBOOK by P Sky and love them so much I listen to all of them at least twice a year. I have appreciated the narration that has been next level in every series. I never want to begrudge anyone a job but Lia was not right for this book. Her narration is very over the top in Wife. I have books that she has read and I loved but not this one. I will most likely return this one because I won’t listen to it again and I don’t keep books that are a one time listen. I would have love Muffy N or Elana W reading gripping story. Michael F is always awesome and I love him but I wish authors would take this review into consideration when choosing narrators. In my humble opinion this was a good book that could have been great like all of Penelope’s if there was a different female narrator. My apologizes if I have offended anyone but I but I love referring book to my friends and this one I can’t not recommend. PS PLEASE FINISH THE LINGERIE SERIES. IM DYING FOR THE NEXT BOOKS!!!!

Romantic Genius

Penelope sky always brings her A-game. This story has it all. It's swoon worthy, scintillating, sensuous, and sexy. This story is equivalent to a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. It has all the elements for this romantic genre: a feisty, stubborn female lead that's in a constant state of denial, and a handsome, passionate, rich, determined male lead. Michael Ferraiulo's rich, sexy voice brings Hades to life. I'll buy anything he narrates. His versatility in voice selections is phenomenal. And, I think Lia Langola did a fantastic job as Sofia. I was very satisfied with her male voice. She was very expressive. This is very much a cliffhanger that I'm hanging on to finish. I can imagine the the fireworks that will ensue. Penelope Sky is a writer who knows how to tell a story. I am now waiting for The Skull King series to be completed. It's been almost a year that I've been waiting for The Skull Ruler to come out. I love all of her series, but I wish this one would be completed.

I absolutely LOVE Michael Ferraiuolo! He should..

Michael Ferraiuolo is so great He sh oil uld do both the male and the female voices.
I absolutely love to listen to him narrate.
He is my on of most favorite narrators.

As for this book and uts story its good but to hell with damn Cliffhangers!!
Please put out the entire series if your going to have a cliffhanger! I hate getting in to a great book and have to wait to finish it later.

The Narrator Maybe??

I'm not sure if it was the actual character or the portrayal of the character but the female in this novel was ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING! I am trying to give Lia Langola the benefit of the doubt and say that it was the actual character and the way she was written...but I just kept waiting for the female chapters to end throughout the entire book. I love Penelope Sky and was not a fan when she started to use Natalie Eaton as her female narrator (I loved when she used Samantha Cooke), so I just stopped buying her audiobooks. I have listed to Lia before and I have liked her before so naturally when I saw her name I got excited again and jumped at the opportunity to use my credit to purchase this book, but was disappointed all over again. I really can't be sure if it's just that this character was just THAT annoying or if Lia just annoyingly/over-performed her...either way this was my least favorite of her female characters out of all her female leads. Sorry, but maybe you can figure out whether it's the character or the narrator...enter at your own risk!
