À propos de cet audio

Back in print after a decade is Wild Cards III: Jokers Wild, featuring fiction by George R. R. Martin, Roger Zelazny, Walter Jon Williams, and others.

On September 15, 1946, the Wild Card virus was released, spreading a wave of mutations around the globe. "Aces" were endowed with extraordinary powers, while "Jokers" were cursed with bizarre mental or physical disabilities. September 15th is now Wild Card Day. With each passing year, the festivities become larger and more fevered. And 1986--the fortieth anniversary--promises to be the biggest Wild Card Day ever. But in New York City not everyone is celebrating: The Astronomer, a twisted, powerful genius, has been planning his own special festivities for Wild Card Day...a day of revenge against those who have opposed him....

Great storyline and loved the different narrators telling the anthology from different angles! very well done! enjoyed the characters that they brought back except too much of the cat lady.

LOVED THIS BOOK! Excellent follow up

This is absolutely horrible to listen to. I couldn’t make it even 20% through the book. Which is awful because I LOVED the first two audiobooks. I had nicer read the Wildcard series, but tried it on a lark and I can only recommend the first 2 audiobooks. The 3rd is horrific and a disgusting assault on my ears. Each chapter has a different reader so you are constantly taken out of the moment. Also, more than half the readers speak as though they’ve either never read out loud before in their lives or they’re reading the words for the first time.

It’s an incredible shame because after the first two audiobooks (read exceptionally well!) I was excited for this one. But, alas I am unable to even make it past hour 2 as this thing is a horrific mish-mash of mealy-mouthed ear assaulters. ZERO stars for narration!

Unlistenable
