À propos de cet audio

She’s the one that got away. He’s the one that never let her go.

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the bestselling author of Done and Dusted and Swift and Saddled, the next book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, a small-town romance in which past lovers get a second chance to rediscover what they lost

“The perfect farewell . . . I dare you to get to the last page without turning right back around to walk through the gates of Rebel Blue all over again. I’ll see you there.”—Jessica Joyce, USA Today bestselling author of The Ex Vows

Camille Ashwood had always loved a plan. Her latest was her best yet. She was going to get married so she could secure her daughter’s future, get her overbearing parents off her back, and finally start building her own life in small-town Meadowlark, Wyoming. Easy, right?

But when her groom doesn’t show up to the wedding, Cam’s life is turned upside down—she doesn’t even have a place to live. That is until she finds out the house she’s loved since high school is available to rent. There’s only one problem: the neighbor.

Dusty Tucker has spent nearly all of his adult life running. Running from what, though? More like who: Cam Ashwood. But ever since he returned home last year, the girl who was his first, well, everything has become a woman seemingly determined to keep him at arm’s length. And he was okay with that—at least, that’s what he kept telling himself. She was getting married, after all. But now she’s single and living next door. Dusty wants to show her that they can be friends, and that he can stay put.

Despite her best attempts to stay far away from Dusty Tucker, Cam realizes that being close to him is like slipping into her favorite jeans. Easy. Comfortable. That is until past wounds start to open and feelings—both old and new—wreak havoc. Nearly ten years after they first met, Dusty and Cam begin to wonder if their first love can also be their last. And this time, will it be forever?

Ce que les critiques en disent

“Lyla Sage came galloping into the romance genre with enough wit, soul and spice to launch a thousand happily ever afters. Wild and Wrangled is no exception. As perfect a second chance romance and yearning-palooza that has ever existed. The Rebel Blue Ranch Series is a must read.”—#1 New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey

“A beautiful, comforting, and wildly satisfying end to our beloved Rebel Blue! This book is as tender as it gets while also serving up the hottest, down bad cowboy I’ve ever read!”—Sarah Adams, New York Times bestselling author of The Rule Book

Wild and Wrangled is the perfect farewell to the Rebel Blue Ranch series. Dusty and Cam’s story shines with what I love so much about Lyla Sage’s world: It’s comforting and soft, filled with hot cowboys (important), and it serves as a reminder that home will always be there waiting for you when you’re ready to go back. I dare you to get to the last page without turning right back around to walk through the gates of Rebel Blue all over again. I’ll see you there.”—Jessica Joyce, USA Today bestselling author of The Ex Vows

“Nearly 10 years after being each other’s first everything, Cam and Dusty have a second chance—but adult baggage complicates their romance. This series finale returns to the Wyoming mountains with a Yellowstone-esque slow burn that leads to the perfect happy ending.”—People

Wild and Wrangled is a swoon-worthy, show-stopping conclusion to the Rebel Blue series. Lyla Sage truly shines with Dusty and Cam’s story, flawlessly weaving fun flirtation with aching tenderness. I never want to say goodbye to the Rebel Blue series, but Sage knocks it out of the park. Tattoo this book on my body like Dusty’s ink, please.”—BK Borison, USA Today bestselling author of Business Casual

Wild and Wrangled is the romance genre at its finest! Cam and Dusty’s chemistry leaps off the page, and their second chance romance melted my heart. I am so sad to say goodbye to the Ryder family, but I could not think of a more fitting end to the Rebel Blue Ranch series!”—Falon Ballard, author of Right on Cue

Wild and Wrangled is as sweet, achy, and sexy as we’ve come to expect from Lyla Sage. Dusty and Cam make my heart hurt and my skin tingle. This is absolutely my favorite of the Rebel Blue Ranch series!”—Julie Soto, USA Today bestselling author

Editorial Review

An anticipated but bittersweet goodbye
I spent the holidays last year falling in love with the Rebel Blue Ranch series. From the moment I learned that Cam and Dusty had history, I knew their story would be something special, and Wild and Wrangled did not disappoint. Author Lyla Sage delivers an achingly heartfelt conclusion to the series with a second-chance romance that is as tender as it is tumultuous. Camille Ashwood had a plan for everything, but when her carefully constructed future crumbles, she finds herself starting over, living next door to Dusty Tucker, the man she’s spent years trying to forget. But Dusty never forgot her. As old wounds resurface and feelings she swore were long buried come rushing back, Cam is forced to confront the past she ran from and the love that never really left. With cameos from my RBR favourites and a romance filled with longing, heartbreak and undeniable chemistry, this final installment is one I savoured from beginning to end. —Patty R., Audible Editor

I love how the relationship between Dusty and Cam was so tangible and real. I thought that the depiction of their first love and first serious relationship was realistic and showed their need for individual growth and discovery. Loved it all.

“I’ll love you until we’re dust in the wind, Camille Ashwood.”

💭 what I loved about this one:
- the author’s note 🥹
- the notes 📝
- their tattoos 🤭
- the dual timeline - being able to see Cam & Dusty fall for each other twice
- Riley 🥹 (Cam’s daughter) - loved her in the previous books, continued to love her in this one
- getting an update on all the couples from the previous books 🥰

🙃 what didn’t quite work for me:
- the 3rd act breakup - it just didn’t make sense to me - I knew Wes calls her out (Cam), but sometimes her actions just bothered me

🎧 audiobook thoughts:
The audio definitely brought up my enjoyment for this book, as Connor Crais is my fav male narrator.
Savannah Peachwood was fine as Cam, though I’m not sure she was the right fit for her character.

so sad to say goodbye to Rebel Blue Ranch!

I was sad this is the last of the series but so glad to finally read about this couple. You must read these in order, trust me! You will love it all!!

This hit home!

The audio is fantastic—the narrators really bring the emotions to life. The pace was really good and left lots of room for me to adjust to my preferred listening speed.
I’m deep in my second chance romance era, and this one hit just right. Cam’s fresh off a breakup (left at the altar), and Dusty—her high school love—is back in town. One emotional rescue in a bar bathroom later, and their old connection is reignited.
The dual timeline is done well, and watching them slowly fall back into each other—especially with Cam’s daughter in the picture—was heartfelt and healing. Dusty is patient, sweet, and so in love. Totally swoon-worthy. Be sure to hang on for the epilogue and the bonus chapter - they hit right in the feels. This is a great series that I will continue to recommend!

Sweet and Swoony

This was my least favourite book of the series. Cam was a b#*€% to Dusty most of the time. And the back and forth in time was not my favourite way of telling their story.

Couldn’t stand fmc

This book, like most the the series, was over the top fluff filled in with a small amount of very juvenile conflict. Maybe the author is very young? The writing was geared towards teenagers, and if not for the spicy scenes I would say this is much more YA than anything.

Very Juvenile Storyline
