Publisher's Summary

The hero of Will Save the Galaxy for Cash returns to do what he does best. Which is - what again, exactly?

With the age of heroic star pilots and galactic villains completely killed by quantum teleportation, the ex-star pilot currently named Dashford Pierce is struggling to find his identity in a changing universe.

Then, a face from his past returns and makes him an offer he can't refuse: take part in just one teeny weeny, slightly illegal, daring heist, and not only will he have the means to start the new life he craves, but also save his childhood hero from certain death.

How hard could that be? If you need to ask - you don’t know Dashford Pierce.

Before long, Pierce is surrounded by peril, and forced to partner with the very same supervillains he'd spent his heroic career thwarting. But when he's confronted by the uncomfortable truth that star pilots might not have been the force for good they had intended to be, he begins to wonder if the villains hadn't had the right idea all along....

A good laugh

jacques mckeown's at it agian! the new characters are fantastically written, the world building is great. Mckeown's cynicism portrayed by Yahtzee never ceases to amuse and im looking forward to his next adventure, or mishap, depending on your definition.

Yahtzee's Best Book So Far

I really enjoy all the books Yahtzee has put out so far, but Will Destroy the Galaxy for Cash is by far my favourite. It's a wonderful romp through space that's dripping with satire and sarcasm. I'm seriously hoping for more books in this series as they have definitely taken their rightful place in my top 5 series of all time.

Best Author to Narrate his own book

Nobody can convey the expression and emotion intended by literature as well as the author who wrote it. Most authors who narrate their own books I have found to lacking at narration but Yahtzee does such an incredible job with his books. The sarcasm and expression of his narration perfectly matches the book. I doubt anyone could do any better at narrating one of his novels. Yet another comical adventure story by Yahtzee that will keep you entertained throughout the story.

Did not disappoint

I was a big fan of the first book and was looking forward to a sequel. I was not disappointed and found the ensemble of characters to be all engaging and well developed. Again Croshaw's enthusiastic delivery brought out the humor and quirks of the characters.

Plying Fantastic

Grabs you by the doints and takes you on a wild ride.

Layers of satire, wit, and dry humor. I found myself laughing out loud far too often at the beautifully crafted metaphors and the dead pan manner in which they are delivering.

The narration is superb, only the author is capable of carrying out the same tone as the writing and it just works.

Looking forward to the next one.

Amazing again

Another outstanding audio book from a master story teller. This book is laugh out loud funny. Croshaw's mastery of simile and metaphor shines brightly again. The story is another wild ride through this crazy universe and I cant get enough of it. Dare I say, Yahtzee Croshaw is the Douglas Adams for a new generation.

Yahtzee Croshaw is definitely now on my auto-buy list. That exclusive list in my head of authors where if I see a new book out by them on audible I buy it, I don't read the synopsis or any reviews, its just add to cart and purchase.

Will write review for third book

When I first began listening to “Will save the galaxy for food” some years ago, I believed it to be a standalone book. A good book with a good ending that seemed to wrap things up. So I was surprised when “Will destroy the Galaxy for Cash” popped up on my radar.

I was concerned one of my favorite authors may have “sold out” as it were, writing a sequel simply because the first had sold well, or because fans had pressured him. So when the story immediately dragged me in, I was somewhat surprised. More so as the book began throwing new hooks left and right, shaking up what we knew of our main character without ever making it seem forced or fake.

My biggest critique of the book is that now I know that there is another book coming after this one, and I’m impatient for Yahtzee’s two year writing cycle to complete once more so I can see what comes next.

Plying Fantastic!!!

Absolutely love this series and I'll get down on my knees to grovel before Sir Croshaw in the hope he will one day bequeath another sequel! Also if you've bought "Will Save the Galaxy for Food" and have yet to purchase this then I'd ask how the brain eating worms inside your head are doing.

Yahtzee has evolved so much as an author.

While I like all of Yahtzee's books, this one has got to be his best. It flows, it has copious amounts of hilarious characters, great moments, exciting developments and a fantastic universe I don't want to leave. I hope this turns into atleast a trilogy, and if not, I'm pretty sure in saying that whatever Yahtzee's next book will be, it will be fantastic. He's on a winning streak.

Even Better Sequel

Great story that takes the McKeown saga (as labeled by Yahtzee Croshaw) in a completely different direction from the first book. Interesting themes, great villain and shocking ending, that all in all makes me wish I could read/listen to the third book right now. Amazing work.

A solid sequel

In my opinion, this isn't Yahtzee's strongest book, but it's still brilliant! It manages to allow those who enjoyed "Will Save the Galaxy for Food" to feel immersed in the references to it, while still being completely comprehensible to someone listening to it on its own. I personally recommend checking out the previous book, or "Differently Morphous", if you're new to Yahtzee's work, but this book is still excellent.

Good but not as good as 1

Still has the humor and adventure, but its a lot sloppier and more inconsistently paced than the original.
