Pretty good , great narrator.

Great continuous from previous book. The personality of the narrator made the book more fun to listen to.

Loved it.

Great continuation of the story. Gov. Hale needs to be less Boy Scout and more soldier.

Another fine example of Story Telling

There is not much that I can add to the already glowing reviews other than my perspective on my own experience with the book. I found that at the end of the second book, I was looking forward to the third. But, when the third book started I was surprised to discover that I was completely uninterested in it. How did that happen? Well, I don't know. So this book had to work for it to say the least. I cannot begin to tell you how often I started to doze off during it. Not the books fault, nor the narrators, but more to the fact that it just didn't grab my interest. What really threw me was the introduction to new characters that fell flat for me. The odd story spacing also made it a chore for me to stay away while listening to this book. Overall, I enjoyed the book but just felt that it was Muh at best. Three stars and a must listen too if you are into the story, but otherwise, skip it.

This story is getting interesting

Liked the two first books but it felt lacking some soul compared to the ember war saga. During this book the story really comes to life. It is engaging and leaves me wanting more. Can’t wait for the sequel!

Much more interesting

in truth, after reading the second book in the series, i was going to give up on this series. as a *meh* when compared to the ember war. i'm glad that i didn't. the old villains are down-played a bit, and the new villains are bit cartoonish (e.g., the physicist or the 6th-in-line-to-the-thrown princess), but the new possible allies are very interesting. i eagerly await the forth book.

Great begining and middle still scratching my head

The end was a cliff hanger that kinda made me mad. I'm hoping it won't take long to get the next book

Are anger. pride and ignorance really super powers

There is a simple story line and some imagination but the solution to every problem is anger and dominance. it's like a libertarian perspective without noticing massive government support.
