This book took me through the ways that being a woman has felt, and how to be a better, stronger woman in myself.
It’s uncomfortable, and she uses language to make the listener/reader feel uncomfortable. But it’s all to make us realize that it SHOULDN’T be uncomfortable to be a woman, and to be a witch in her power.

I thank her for her bravery in sharing and writing this book.
10/10 a must read for any witch!

Great book for the new and experienced

I absolutely loved this book. I understand the critics, it's not very inclusive. It's tailored specifically to cis women. It is very niche. But it was incredibly freeing and empowering for me. I loved it and will probably re-read it at some point. It changed the way I perceive my magic, my craft and my uterus and vagina.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!

It’s sort of an intermingling of the author’s personal experiences, a distinguishing of all the different types of witchcraft and earthly healing, the overall history of witchcraft and its persecution, and all the ways in which patriarchy diminishes feminine power. It’s all of that, plus all the ways one can get started in all different paths of a modern witch. Even if you (like me) has experience in some avenues, having an introduction to all of the others is so handy. The author is sassy, loud, witty, real and definitely unapologetic. I also appreciate that her style of feminism is anti-mainstream-culture, as opposed to male-bashing. And that she often reminds us that any woman can be a witch, armed with nothing but her own power and intuitive knowing, and that all ways of expression are valid.

Listening to the audiobook Lisa’s own voice is such a treat. She lends so much potency and personality to her words. That said, I am going to need to get a paper copy of this book - for reference and for the recipes. Even if I bookmark the whole audio, having a paper book displaying recipes and the uses for different herbs is just so much more practical and tangible. For this is not a book to learn with the mind, but to embody and practice should you too hear the call.

Frankly, I just want to go back RIGHT NOW and listen to whole sections all over again!

NOTE: While she states several times that witches are primarily female but don’t necessarily need to be, gender-fluid and non-binary folks will not find explicit representation in this book. The author has declared unapologetically that this is a book for women (noting that one need not actually have a physical womb to be such).

I enjoyed this book , Lisa Lister does a good job reading it. I found it easy to listen to.

I wouldn't say this book was life changing, as I found there was a bit of space filler near the end when she goes over all the crystal meanings etc. but this is a perfect book for someone who is starting their journey on awakening their old woman and interested in leaning more about what it means to be a witch. over all I though it was a nice book

This book is phenomenal!!! I loved every second of it. I've listened multiple times and gotten other witches to listen as well! Highly recommend this book and anything else by Lisa Lister!!!
