Narrator did an outstanding job to differentiate all the voices. The characters became so powerful, intertwined with the heroine that if it was a book you would be hard pressed to put it down. Thank goodness there is a book 2. Well Done Sam Hall!!

I had a hard time getting invested in it. I wanted more and found it boring at times. Maybe because it uses a recycled storyline, so I felt a bit like, ‘been here, done this’. There are good bits, but mostly I felt like the plot crawled along with little progression. The scenes with the FMC and the MMC are missing the magic tension that makes for a good slow burn. The book seems to hyper focused on the sexual inexperience and naïveté of the FMC and spicy scenes come across as instructional mansplaining, rather than hot. Narration was good, the female narrator did a great job of voicing (with distinction) the FMC and the four different MMCs, plus all the supporting characters. But because she had to voice so many and make them differentiable, some of the voices came across a bit campy in my opinion. It would have been better as a multi-cast. I have no interest in moving on to book 2.
