Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author Lisa Lang Blakeney comes a new stand-alone, billionaire boss romance set in the world of professional football.

Ursula: How many ways do I need to say - I quit? My family thinks I'm crazy, my astrology chart says it's a mistake, but after three years of carefully molding the highly narcissistic Cooper Barnes into the "athlete influencer" of the year - I quit.

He won't care anyway. Whether they work for him or sleep with him, women have always been expendable to the billionaire baller. Even me.

Cooper: What is wrong with Ursula Owens? It's like she woke up one day this whole new person. A woman I don't recognize. One day she was my quirky, highly organized assistant, happily managing my entire life for me. The next she is handing in her resignation with no warning and no good reason.

Good thing I know what I want. I may have met her by chance, but I'm keeping her by choice. Just maybe our love story is fated after all.

Contains mature themes.

Just OK

I was short, not bad but not perticularly good. The male POV barely existed, and the male narrator didn't even do all the MCM parts... what's up with that. Didn't care for the female narrator but she wasn't terrible. Good, I guess, for a quick somewhat simple read/listen.

Great road trip book

Short but sweet. I love Lisa’s men!😘 They’re always to die for, so glad I already have one.

Short But Good ...

This series runs a bit shorter time wise than I am used to and that fact bothered me a bit more in the first book (Saint) than this one. In Wolf, Cooper and Oliva's story wasn't so centralized to the two main characters, there was more football team presence and family/friend involved. As they started out as a boss and employee with years under their belt the connection also didn't feel as rushed and lacking in detail as it did in Saint's story. Overall, I am enjoying this series and will be moving straight to Deisel's story next. LLB has an interesting writing style and I like her clever dialogue the stories themselves also don't feel all that fictional.
