About this listen
Though the young Warchief Thrall ended the demon curse that had plagued his people for generations, the orcs still wrestle with the sins of their bloody past. As the rampaging Horde, they waged a number of devastating wars against their perennial enemy - the Alliance. Yet the rage and bloodlust that drove the orcs to destroy everything in their path nearly consumed them as well. Long ago, on the idyllic world of Draenor, the noble orc clans lived in relative peace with their enigmatic neighbors, the draenei.
But the nefarious agents of the Burning Legion had other plans for both of the unsuspecting races. The demon-lord Kil’jaeden set in motion a dark chain of events that would succeed not only in eradicating the draenei, but would forge the orc clans into an single, unstoppable juggernaut of hatred and destruction. An original tale of magic, warfare, and heroism based on the best-selling, award-winning electronic game series from Blizzard.

Story
Leovander Loveage is a master of small magics. He can summon butterflies with a song or turn someone’s hair pink by snapping his fingers. Though such minor charms don’t earn him much respect, anything more elaborate always blows up in his face, and so Leo vowed long ago never to use powerful magic again. That is, until a mishap with a forbidden spell binds Leo to obey the commands of his longtime rival, Sebastian Grimm. Grimm is Leo’s complete opposite—respected, exceptionally talented, and absolutely insufferable.

Decent Audio Book
I am an avid player and fan of World of Warcraft and own an original copy of this book. I picked up the Audio version, which is reviewed here, before getting on a plane as the cost was decent and I enjoy the opportunity to listen to a novel when it is read by the author.
I gave this audio book 3 stars for a few reasons. The story itself is far darker than I expected which is not a bad thing. Overall, I can honestly say that the history of the Horde as written by the author is pretty good and from a Warcraft fan I'd say very near 5 stars.
The voice of the author is nice and she does a good job telling the story but her voice is something more, in my opinion, suited to telling a more positive story than this one and so it doesn't really work for this audio book and therefore I give the reading of the story a 3 star.
When all is said and done, I will give this Audio Book 4 stars but just barely. That is mostly on personal preference. I was close to giving it 3 stars to be honest but on reflection, the history presented for a Warcraft fan is very good in my opinion and well written. I did enjoy the sound of the author's voice but it did not work with the story she was reading. Recommended for reading.

good listen.
Was a good listen. but most of the characters being male I just couldn't picture them properly as voiced by this wonderful lady she did a fantastic job reading the book. but I've played the games this book was based on and itvwas hard to imagine these characters fully.

Up to now great story but the performance of Christie is awful
Great book but the performance of Christie is awful. They should have hired a professional to do the male voices. I’m completely taken out of this audiobook unfortunately.
