in my youth malice was someone i looked up to, a role model an idol, until i met jesus and did away with “hiphop culture” ... about 15 years later i find out he became nomalice, accepted jesus and wrote a book! my life, his life and many other transformed lives are PROOF that jesus is alive!!!

Honest sharing that gives you a glimpse of another side of Gene that you don't usually see in interviews. It is full of potential, but the endinh felt rushed and long winded (I am ok with being preachy, but there has to be new insights). I am glad I chose the audiobook because the reenactment (by the author himself and help from others) makes it much more enjoyable. With the latest success with the Clips new album in 2025, it's perhaps a good time to revisit this work (or put out a new book). If that does happen, please please find a good editor.

I debated between 2 or 3. Mostly because of the ending. For his honesty and unfiltered sharing, I am bumping it to a 3.
