Story
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

She watches football with Mark Walton. She’s taken up birdwatching and stargazing. She is perfectly content. No stress. No drama. And no desire to date. Then Lexie Walton waltzes into her life.

Story
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

Publisher's Summary
Wrong Number, Right Woman is a lighthearted slow-burn lesbian romance that embraces likable characters without all the drama.
A single text message can change everything!
Flirting has never been Denny’s strong suit, but so what if she’s too shy to ask women out? She’s content with her simple life, working as a cashier and helping her sister raise her niece.
But then she gets a wrong-number text message from a stranger named Eliza, asking her of all people for dating advice!
Eliza is Denny’s total opposite: witty, outgoing - and straight. Despite their differences, the accidental text sparks an unlikely friendship. Soon, Eliza - self-proclaimed queen of disastrous first dates - would rather banter back and forth with Denny than to keep trying her luck at online dating.
When they meet in person, there’s an instant connection. But what Eliza is feeling can’t be attraction, right? It doesn’t mean a thing that she’s starting to wish the guys she dates would be more like Denny. Or does it?
Can the wrong number lead to the right woman after all?

Yes! With Jae and Angela Dawe, I'm definitely in heaven. Not to mention the sweet love story between Denny and Eliza. It is such a cute and heartwarming story. The book itself was great but putting it to life by Angela Dawe made it even more great. This is a must have! - CCB

True Love Story
Enjoyed this mainly because the characters developed a relationship before jumping into an intimate situation. They actually liked each other and were friends, not just working on a physical attraction. There's a warm and underlying depth to them as a couple. Also loved the lack of a fake or contrived mid-story break up. Just two adult women making adult decisions about their lives and how they want to live...together!

well written but bland
If you are in the mood for a zero angst sloooooooow burn, toaster oven romance this will fit the bill. I enjoyed it but I was not captivated by it. It's a pleasant story of two ordinary people meeting by chance and becoming friends that very slowly realize it's something more. It's sweet treat like a nice bowl of premium vanilla ice cream. Nothing wrong with it, it's perfectly enjoyable it just not every exciting.
Narration was very good, but felt the voice used for Denny sounded too much like "Pat" from SNL and so detracted from my enjoyment somewhat.

Jae and Dawe - a recipe for greatness
Can my whole review be swoon, swoon, swoon and more, please?
As much as I loved reading the physical book, the audio was even better. The best narrators elevate the quality of a work and The Legendary Angela Dawe does it every. damn. time. I was smiling, laughing, squealing, awwwwing and, yes - swooning - throughout the entire thing.
This felt like a warm bath on a cold day. Like sitting in front of a fire wrapped in the softest blanket. It was sweet, tender and felt so very good. Who can't use more of that right now?? A perfect combination of the wonderful words of Jae and the beautiful performance of Dawe.
