Publisher's Summary

Wrong Number, Right Woman is a lighthearted slow-burn lesbian romance that embraces likable characters without all the drama.

A single text message can change everything!

Flirting has never been Denny’s strong suit, but so what if she’s too shy to ask women out? She’s content with her simple life, working as a cashier and helping her sister raise her niece.

But then she gets a wrong-number text message from a stranger named Eliza, asking her of all people for dating advice!

Eliza is Denny’s total opposite: witty, outgoing - and straight. Despite their differences, the accidental text sparks an unlikely friendship. Soon, Eliza - self-proclaimed queen of disastrous first dates - would rather banter back and forth with Denny than to keep trying her luck at online dating.

When they meet in person, there’s an instant connection. But what Eliza is feeling can’t be attraction, right? It doesn’t mean a thing that she’s starting to wish the guys she dates would be more like Denny. Or does it?

Can the wrong number lead to the right woman after all?

Fantastic!

It didn't take long to get to know, and relate to, the characters. Jae can make a great story, with many layers from a simple plot.
I can honestly say I have never snort laughed out loud and spit out cereal while driving before....but one scene in this book made that exact thing happen!
And it is true that Angela Dawe has a sexy voice that is very easy on the ears!

sort of cringe and unrelatable

not for me... I relate more to the "straight" girls best friend than either of the main characters. One of the main characters gives me incel nice guy vibes. There wasn't that much tension during the build up. I felt like nothing happened till the end

Another Jae masterpiece.

Great story that has that special magic. It would never happen in real life but you beg for it to happen in this book. Excellent voice work by Angela Dawe as usual. Great Introduction to Jae or continuation of her works if your looking for more.

True Love Story

Enjoyed this mainly because the characters developed a relationship before jumping into an intimate situation. They actually liked each other and were friends, not just working on a physical attraction. There's a warm and underlying depth to them as a couple. Also loved the lack of a fake or contrived mid-story break up. Just two adult women making adult decisions about their lives and how they want to live...together!

Heaven, I'm in heaven

Yes! With Jae and Angela Dawe, I'm definitely in heaven. Not to mention the sweet love story between Denny and Eliza. It is such a cute and heartwarming story. The book itself was great but putting it to life by Angela Dawe made it even more great. This is a must have! - CCB

well written but bland

If you are in the mood for a zero angst sloooooooow burn, toaster oven romance this will fit the bill. I enjoyed it but I was not captivated by it. It's a pleasant story of two ordinary people meeting by chance and becoming friends that very slowly realize it's something more. It's sweet treat like a nice bowl of premium vanilla ice cream. Nothing wrong with it, it's perfectly enjoyable it just not every exciting.

Narration was very good, but felt the voice used for Denny sounded too much like "Pat" from SNL and so detracted from my enjoyment somewhat.

Laugh-out-loud with very likeable characters

Highly recommend this book. One of the best I’ve listened to. I found myself laughing out loud at the banter and conversation between the two main characters.
Very well written, good story, wonderful and lovable characters, great narration. Couldn’t ask for a better book.

Fantasy??

This is not a fantasy romance. When I think about falling in love with someone in my fantasy, it's not a 42 year old cashier who's out of shape. I also don't want to be whisked away in her 11 year old Subaru. The only fantasy about this book is when the straight girl decides to be gay. A cashier who goes home and memorizes four digit fruit codes after hours on her own time is not fantasy. It illustrates the writer's lack of knowledge about what minimum wage people do with their free time. Angela Dawe could not save this book.

Jae and Dawe - a recipe for greatness

Can my whole review be swoon, swoon, swoon and more, please?
As much as I loved reading the physical book, the audio was even better. The best narrators elevate the quality of a work and The Legendary Angela Dawe does it every. damn. time. I was smiling, laughing, squealing, awwwwing and, yes - swooning - throughout the entire thing.
This felt like a warm bath on a cold day. Like sitting in front of a fire wrapped in the softest blanket. It was sweet, tender and felt so very good. Who can't use more of that right now?? A perfect combination of the wonderful words of Jae and the beautiful performance of Dawe.

Loved it

I usually love Jae's novels, so I went into this one without any hesitation. This is a slow burn, with a really well built relationship between the characters. What I loved most about it is that... Denny and Elisa are... relatable. They have insecurities, they're not perfect, but they talk about their issues.
Most of the people I talked to about this book told me they got bored by this story... I didn't, I found it sweet, and boy, did Angela Dawe give it life!
