Publisher's Summary
Winner takes all? That’s not just a motto, but a lifestyle for Avery Shaw. She wants to win at all costs. Of course, she wants to help others, too. That comes second to winning, but it’s often a byproduct.
Avery is a reporter about town, and there’s no story she won’t doggedly pursue, especially if she can scoop every other news reporter in the Detroit area and claim the glory for herself.
Join Avery for three adventures as she takes on the mob, a shock jock with a bad reputation, and a human-trafficking ring that has been at it for years. That’s on top of her usual bouts of aggression with her nemesis Tad Ludington.
The game is afoot...and she’s going to win. As long as she survives, that is.
This three-book omnibus includes: On Deadline & Under Fire, Above the Fold & Below the Belt, and Oracles & Obituaries.

I Love this series but couldn’t stand the readers voice
I have read every book ever written by Amanda m Lee/Lily Harper Hart. I do a lot of driving with my job so I enjoy listening to these when I can’t read them. The voice of this woman reading this book, though, put me over the edge. The really odd inflection that she gave the character and weird, high pitched voice that she gave the grandfather were ridiculous. No thanks. I’ll go to kindle and steer clear of this Narrator in the future.

Grwat value
Angel Clark does a good job with narration on all three books. This volume is s great value with three Avery Shaw mysteries included. All three investigations are good and Avery is growing and mellowing which makes her much more likeable for me. I love her relationship with Elliott. I love all the snarkiness too.

full of snark and suspense
Avery never dissapoints! Just as snarky and mischevious as always. Loved the tension over the new addition.
