Maria is the best.
I was expecting a comedy routine but instead got a real look at "comedy" or insert any other profession/hobby/loved activity in there. it was honest, funny and heartbreaking all at the same time.

Absolutely fantastic!!!
I signed up for Audible just to listen to this book! My favorite part was Maria talking about her comedic failures; she’s both hilarious and vulnerable! As a comic myself I could relate to the inner workings of the comedy scene and appreciate her suggestions for creating an hour of comedy! It’s so funny that I’ve listened to the book ten times! If you love Maria Bamford you NEED to listen to this book!

Heck yeah! Applicable to all things life
I will never be a comedian but I’m pretty sure that I’m gonna tackle that mediocre thing that I can.not self-motivate to do. At least now I have a solid template for success. Highly recommend!

Super Weird
It's very short.
As a comedian myself, let me tell you that writing your comedy hour like this is completely insane. I've never met ANYBODY who does it like this. And I'm definitely trying it.
I only signed up to get access to this, and I'm not terribly disappointed by the length. Actionable advice seldom takes 16 hours to deliver.
If you like Maria, you'll like this audiobook. And I really liked it.

Easy to listen to and enjoy! Motivational!
Not only was this book easy to sit back and listen to, it also puts a fire in your belly to go do what you need to do. I, myself, will be trying more of that new, scary activity that I think will bring me some sort of temporary joy.
