Sweet Story
This author’s debut novel was a sweet story of orphans from New York who landed with a rancher out west. The three were unrelated and overlooked on the orphan train. With trials and tribulations they each had their own story of woe, but came together as a family in the end.

Beautiful Story!
Beautiful storytelling. What a debut! Other writers could learn much from this- including myself! As far as the “language,”another review mentioned, it’s PG-13 at most.

Interesting story.
I read some of the other reviews and was surprised at their strong feelings about stuff I didn’t even notice. Woke?! Bad language?! News to me. It was an interesting story with a happy ending. Good enough for me. I probably wouldn’t listen to this one twice but I would be interested in other books by the same author.

It’s all about family.
A well told historical fiction set in Montana. The character development was a bit abrupt, but all in all its a beautiful story of family. Family is what you make; it’s not limited by blood.

excellent narration, engaging story
I loved this story of complicated family dynamics, sorrow and overcoming the cards life dealt to the characters. Highly recommend.

Good story, good narrator
I have listened to many orphan train related books. (I had no idea orphan trains existed until I started listening to audio books.) They intrigue me because although the books are fiction, the circumstances the actual orphan train children went through are not. Everything in these books is a very real possibility. That is both disheartening and encouraging. This book perfectly encompasses both those aspects of these historic children's lives.
