A Prayer When What’s Missing Is All We See
Loving God,
You know how easily we become overwhelmed.
You have carried us before.
You have provided in ways we did not expect.
You have brought us through more than we remember.
And still, when something is lacking —
a setback,
a shortage,
an uncertainty,
a delay —
it can become all we see.
We grow anxious.
We grow impatient.
We complain.
Steady us.
When our need feels urgent,
widen our vision.
When anxiety overtakes gratitude,
gently remind us of Your faithfulness.
Keep us from despair.
Keep us from cynicism.
Keep us from believing this moment is the whole story.
As You did in the wilderness,
provide what is needed.
Teach us to trust You
even when what’s missing
is all we see.
