In the early 1990s, a sleepy English village was rudely awakened by a Napper. Robert Napper. AKA the Green Chain Rapist and the Plumstead Ripper.

Archibald Thomson Hall, eventually known as Roy Fontaine, changed his name to better suit the world of butlery—which was a touch odd… given that “Archibald” sounds far more like a butler’s name than “Roy.” Then again, making a mess of things was exactly what the “Monster Butler” was best at.

There are many things that keep me listening to these tales. Many more than once. This podcast contains true crime content, original fiction, and collaborative content with different creators.

Mr. Luna, IMHO, is the most complete podcast creator I have ever even heard of. He has a talent for writing that constantly has me rewinding to be able to bookmark or capture a clip he just said. His ability to get right to the heart of many difficult topics, opinions, behaviors, societal attitudes and problems with all varieties of people, places, or things continuously floors me with how much he must have considered each point before drafting that specific viewpoint. Pardon the run-on sentence, please.

He has a dark sense of humour, explained by his experiences when researching these cases and by all he has experienced throughout a seemingly challenging, but interesting, life. He is not for everyone, obviously, just read the title of his programs and it will be plain to see.

He displays so many emotions that draw you deeper into each episode, proving that you are listening to a fellow individual, possibly a friend or neighbor. This is not some podcast that features a polished personality just there to drum up likes for "the 'gram" or FB.

There is so much more that could and should be added here to entice you to follow Dark Topic, but if you have read this far, you hopefully will take time to sample a few episodes. Hopefully you will have sensed the impact it had on me, plus all of those who allowed me to share a few episodes with them.

Best wishes to all. Thank you for your time.

This is a NSFW podcast, but contains more humanity than you would ever deem possible in a true crime program.
