  • The THREE Challenges of Podcasting | with Terryl Humphrey | Ep # 452
    Aug 30 2026

Starting a podcast can feel difficult when you are thinking about equipment, studios, what to say, and whether you are ready.

In this episode, I talk about three challenges I continue seeing with business owners who want to launch a podcast.

We talk about procrastination, overthinking, being afraid to fail publicly, and why you have to be willing to start before everything is perfect.

I also share something I recently learned about my own business.

After talking with customers, testing different messages, and having a conversation with one of my professors, I realized something that had been right in front of me.

We Bring the Podcast Production to You.

You sit down and share your expertise. We handle the recording, editing, production, and publishing.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why people wait months or even years to launch

    • How overthinking can create procrastination

    • Why equipment is not the most important part

    • Why being comfortable learning publicly matters

  • Why One Podcast Episode Is Not Enough | with Terryl Humphrey | Ep #451
    Aug 29 2026

If you are wondering how many podcast episodes you should record, understand that one episode is only the starting point.

The more you record, the more opportunities you have to improve, build trust, and give people something to discover.

In this episode, I talk about why I continue to focus on the next podcast episode instead of expecting one episode to create all the results.

When I started podcasting in August 2021, I started with an iPhone 7 and a tripod.

Over time, I kept recording, learning, changing my setup, and getting more comfortable.

After producing 893 podcast episodes, one thing I continue to see is that you never know when somebody is going to discover your content.

    People may not comment.

They may not like the video.

They may not tell you they listened.

That does not automatically mean nobody is listening.

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why one podcast episode is not enough

    • Why you should focus on your next episode

    • How podcasting helps build trust

    • Why you should not expect instant results

  • Why Starting a Business Is So Challenging | with Terryl Humphrey | Ep # 450
    Aug 28 2026

How do you identify the problem your business solves? For me, figuring that out took years of trying different things, asking questions, learning business, talking to mentors, and paying attention to what people actually came to me for.

In this episode, I talk about why business can be so challenging when you're trying to figure everything out at the same time.

    -Sales.

    -Marketing.

    -Finance.

    -Legal.

    -Operations.

    -Team development.

    -Your own development.

There are a lot of moving pieces.

I started my first business with a car wash. I bought 100 business cards and started telling people what I was doing before I completely knew what I was doing.

That forced me to actually go try.

Over time, I tried advertising, social media management, videography, photography, and podcasting.

    Eventually something started becoming clearer.

People kept reaching out to me about podcasting.

After producing more than 893 podcast episodes and helping 37 entrepreneurs launch their podcasts, I started recognizing the problem Failure Is Knowledge actually solves.

There are business owners who want to launch a podcast but procrastinate because they don't know what equipment to use, how to record, what to say, how to edit, or how to publish.

That helped me understand my market differently.

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why there is always another challenge in business

    • Why you have to give yourself time to learn

    • How taking action teaches you what research cannot

    • How I started my first car wash business

One of the biggest things I'm learning is that having knowledge is not enough.

    You have to apply it.
