  • Welcome to The Battery Podcast, with Ryan "RJ" Johnson, Isiah McDonald & Logan "Coach Wedge" Wedgewood. Our goal with this podcast is to shine light on Canadian Baseball in hopes to help promote, educate and grow the game in our country. We are extremely excited to be able to bring interviews to you from successful and prominent Canadian baseball players and figures and people that you actually know and have heard of! As three former collegiate baseball players currently making a career in the game: RJ as a current professional pitcher internationally, Isiah as an S&C Coach who has interned under the legendary Eric Cressey, and Wedge who coaches various ages both in team and private settings, we offer advice and information from an intersectional approach. We will chat with and about Canadian baseball players/coaches paving their paths and changing the landscape of Canadian Baseball. We want to promote those locally, such as high school signings to collegiate institutions and the MLB Draft, as well as shine light on the blossoming and competitive Premiere Baseball League and Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference here in British Columbia, Canada, and would love to hear from all of you!     In this new installment of The Battery, we have decided to approach some more specific topics to discuss in more detail. Sometimes this might be with just the three of us, sometimes with more, we don't know, we're trying to keep it loose out here. In this episode, we talk about how to go about building a safe and effective Ramp Up program for throwers and more specifically, Pitchers. RJ talks about his current ramp that he has been on for the last month or so, with Isiah using his big S&C brain to talk about how everything works. Meanwhile, Wedge just takes notes and asks questions because, well, he's out of his league on this one. Hope you enjoy and can get some value out of this conversation.
