I'm a huge Connelly fan.

Mild spoilers follow.

So this podcast had me totally engaged and interested. It is well paced, a little unique, appealing characters, all things going for it.

Until episode 5 ends with a great sense of urgency and anticipation, and episode 6 starts as if none of that emotional investment had been required of the reader. Then the whole thing just gets bugfuzzy confusing.

Any other author I'd accuse of being creatively lazy, too cavalier to put in the work to make all the pieces fit and the story to resolve with the intended surprise. But Connelly writes the Lincoln Lawyer. He's not lazy. He's a genius. So what is this one all about??

I have zero idea what the h* happened.
