Il y a 50 ans, Markoosie Patsauq, alors pilote de brousse dans la fin vingtaine et résident de Resolute, un hameau isolé du Haut-Arctique, a consacré ses temps libres à l’écriture d’un livre qui s’est ensuite imposé comme le premier roman autochtone paru au Canada. Publiée en anglais sous le titre Harpoon of the Hunter en 1970 par les Presses universitaires McGill-Queen’s, cette version correspondait à la propre adaptation de Patsauq.
