Fabi Fuchs ist - wie könnte es anders sein - ein kleiner Fuchs. Nichts liebt er mehr, als den Wald zu erkunden, in dem er lebt und all seinen Freunden "Guten Tag" zu sagen. Eines Morgens begegnet ihm allerdings jemand, dem er noch nie zuvor in seiner Nachbarschaft begegnet ist. Der Neuankömmling entpuppt sich als Eichhörnchen-Dame Polly, die völlig aus dem Häuschen ist, weil sie sich nicht mehr erinnern kann, wo sie ihren Nussvorrat versteckt hat. Wenn sie den nicht wiederfindet, sieht es im Winter ganz schön mager für sie aus.

"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in." The third pig builds a house of bricks. This little pig is very smart, and the end is a big surprise for everyone.

Jetzt müssen sie nur noch den Weg zurück in ihren Wald finden, aber zum Glück hat Pips einen untrüglichen Orientierungssinn. Das behauptet sie zumindest... Natürlich bleibt auf ihrem langen Weg das ein oder andere Abenteuer nicht aus und so machen die drei ein paar interessante Bekanntschaften.

Fabi und Polly wollen endlich herausfinden, wie die Welt außerhalb ihres Waldes aussieht. Am Waldrand entdecken sie eine wunderschöne, große Wiese voller Blaubeersträucher. Und dort steht auch ein komisches blaues Haus auf Rädern. Natürlich sind der kleine Fuchs und die Eichhörnchendame neugierig, wer wohl darin wohnt. Sind das etwa Hühner? In der dritten Folge machen Fabi und Polly ein paar interessante Bekanntschaften und eine von diese schließt sich den beiden sogar an. Aller guten Dinge sind eben drei - das gilt auch für Freunde.

Während Polly ihrer neuen Liebe nachstellt, verschlägt es Fabi versehentlich in ein "Streichelcafé", in dem man Tiere kraulen kann. Das ist aber schon ein bisschen viel Mensch. Zum Glück kommen die anderen ihrem Lieblingsfuchs zur Hilfe und finden mal wieder einen guten Weg aus der Patsche heraus und hinein in das nächste Abenteuer.
