I hope the listeners of my story will benefit from seeing a glimpse of how growing up poor can mold a person, as well as facing challenges in life. Working hard may be new to the current generation, at least not most had it the way I did growing up. It takes hard work to succeed in life. Hard work is honorable and builds character. The Bible says in Colossians 3:23, "Whatsoever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord." In 2 Thessalonians 3:10, it says, "If any man will not work, neither should he be allowed to eat."

Blue Sunday was a story that I created in 2016. It is a story about redemption for the assistant pastor Gregory Emory, who wanted nothing to do with God after two of his closest family members died, and the redemption of a former drug addict, Shane Gaudet, who was running from his own past troubles that cause him to hide from God.

God is continually engaged in the lifelong process of teaching his children. Melvin Francis Patterson was a part of the "Texas Army," the Thirty-Sixth Division in WWII. He grew up in Texas and joined the Thirty-Sixth in the National Guard. When the time came the division was sent to North Africa. From there, they invaded Italy and made a name for themselves by slugging it out against the German Army through the mountainous region in the "heel" of Italy then on through Rome. Not long after the Normandy Invasion, the Thirty-Sixth invaded Southern France; then as the German Army retreated toward Germany, the Thirty-Sixth Division raced around it and closed the trap.

The cowboy's wife had disappeared under suspicious circumstances. The investigators are discovering a suspicious background of this cowboy, going back to his childhood.

Gentle Breeze is the continuing story of our hero, Tim. Tim finds himself battling for another soul, Colton, a stranger from the past who is fighting many demons inside his own mind. Tim connects and begins to share his own experiences. Using his own knowledge on his journey over the chasm, Tim can recognize when Colton hears the voices and can relate to his troubled soul. Throughout the journey, Tim becomes entangled in battle of the townspeople versus Colton yet holds firm to his belief that Colton is not who they think he is.

In my eighty-eight years as a well-educated wonderer, many of my assumed facts have been proven wrong. I see that as progress a good thing. The challenge is to be able to accept that one of your lifelong facts just isn't true. I have only a few things that I learned that have stayed true so far and have been stabilizers in my world. I think they can be of use to almost everyone and need sharing.
