Joining us at Audible Studios for the second time is R. R. He talks to us about the first book in his new trilogy, The Worldship Humility, a science-fiction novel detailing the escapades of a petty thief and an Airlock Operative who accidentally steal a code with information about a new habitable planet.

M R Carey, a renowned writer of brilliant comic books, novels and films, visits the Audible Studios to talk about his latest novel, The Boy on the Bridge - a stand-alone story set in the same world as his best seller The Girl with All the Gifts. Alongside him we have one of your favourite narrators, Finty Williams. She's the voice behind the audiobook of Mike's latest novel and several of his previous ones, too.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Candice Carty-Williams, senior marketing executive at Vintage books and author of Queenie. Queenie is a relatable, darkly comic take on a Jamaican-British woman living in London trying to recover from a messy breakup, gain some attention among all the white middle class peers at her newspaper job and, most of all, fit into two different cultures. We spoke about her motivations for writing Queenie, her career, the lack of diversity in publishing and what she is planning on doing next.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Tade Thompson, one of science fiction’s most exciting new voices, and author of Rosewater. Thompson is releasing The Wormwood trilogy which documents an alien biodome in Nigeria and the city built around it, desperate for the biodome’s rumored healing powers. Book one of the series, Rosewater, received multiple award nominations and book two, The Rosewater Insurrection has been much anticipated. Thompson writes alongside his work as a hospital psychiatrist.

Louise Allen talks to us about the release of her first audiobook, Thrown Away Child, a memoir in which she revisits a childhood plagued with abuse and neglect from the very people who were supposed to protect her. Louise explains why she has set out to challenge the UK’s foster system. Hoping to improve the lives of the many foster children whose futures hang in the balance, Louise offers firsthand insight as to why we need to change our approach in dealing with vulnerable children and why she is now in a position to speak out.

For Danny Wallace, the world is getting ruder. He tells us of how he travelled the world and visited psychologists in order to find the hidden truths behind what makes us rude.

Rinder was called to the Bar in 2001, beginning a pupillage at 2 Paper Buildings before moving to 2 Hare Court as a criminal barrister. Rinder has worked on cases from fraud to murder, and money laundering to political corruption. Having approached ITV with a television script, written in his spare time, he was asked instead to be the face of a British Judge Judy-esque show, thus Judge Rinder was born.

This bestselling trilogy has come to its highly anticipated conclusion with the final installation entitled The City of Mirrors. Justin visits the Audible Studios to tell us more!

After working as a creator for the journal Nature for a decade, being a frequent contributor to The Guardian newspaper for years and a regular host on BBC Radio 4, Rutherford realised that at some point he had become a writer and broadcaster on science and genetics. A natural at making the deepest depths of science understandable, Rutherford has again taken up his pen (and microphone) and this time enlightened us on the story of eugenics and study of genetics.

Glover worked her way through the ranks of BBC Radio, starting as a filing clerk, and becoming the presenter of The Listening Project for BBC Radio 4 and My Perfect Country for the BBC World Service, besides many other award-winning projects. Garvey spent a lot of her career on BBC Radio 5 Live, being the first voice heard on the station when it launched at 5am in 1994. Joining us at the Audible Studios is veterinary surgeon and presenter Noel Fitzpatrick. Perhaps better known as the Supervet, he has now penned an autobiography - Listening to the Animals: Becoming the Supervet. He speaks to us about his memoir, which shows his journey to becoming the Supervet from the very beginning. We see every twist and turn on his route to Surrey and opening his world-renowned veterinary practice, his extremely successful television show, The Supervet, and the personal experiences that come alongside working with sick and injured animals.
