A strange man walks up to the customs counter at O'Hare International Airport. He carries a passport, driver's license, papers, all of it looking legit. One day, Nick Winters gets a package in the mail. Inside is a hat. However, this hat is more than just a black fedora. It is infused with the latest technology that will enhance Nick's already amazing abilities to near-superhuman levels. The problem is that some other people want that technology back. People who helped design it but now want to use it for nefarious purposes. Oh, and each time he uses the hat, it's also slowly killing him.
