Story
Thrown together by a zealous English teacher's classroom-mailbox assignment, notorious scrapper, Adam "Kurl" Kurlansky, and Jonathan Hopkirk, a flamboyant Walt Whitman wannabe, have to write an old-fashioned letter to each other every week. Kurl is a senior, an ex-high school football player, held back a year, while Jo is a nerdy, out tenth grader with a penchant for vintage clothes and a deep love for poetry. But with homophobia, bullying, and familial abuse, Jonathan and Kurl must struggle to overcome their conflicts and hold onto their growing relationship.

Story
As her sophomore year begins, Karen enters into the back-to-school revelry - particularly at a fraternity called GBC. When she wakes up one morning on the lawn of Raghurst, a house of radical feminists, she gets a crash course in the state of feminist activism on campus. GBC is notorious, she learns, nicknamed "Gang Bang Central" and a prominent contributor to a list of date rapists compiled by female students. Despite continuing to party there and dating one of the brothers, Karen is equally seduced by the intellectual stimulation and indomitable spirit of the Raghurst women.

Story
Toronto, 2000. Theresa Bateman is a junior professor trying, and struggling, to establish herself in the art world. Then one day, she receives a mysterious tarot card in the mail from a stranger. A tarot card that may or may not belong to the most famous deck in the world—one only ever rumored to exist: the lost tarot of Surrealist artist Lark Ringold, said to have been created shortly before his tragic death. Could this card really belong to Ringold's tarot? Why, if so, was it sent to Theresa? And who is the elderly woman who was holding onto it for all these years—and why?
