All the students in Room 2B are getting ready for Christmas. They are excited and filled with holiday spirit. It’s the week before Valentine’s Day. All the students in Room 2B are thinking about wearing red, passing out valentines, and having a class party. Miss Mackle is getting married! But she didn't invite any of her students to the wedding. The kids don't understand it: A wedding is a time for families to be together, and they are Miss Mackle's Room 3B family - which is especially important because her father is in the military overseas, and he won't be home for the wedding. So Harry comes up with a plan to sneak his pals into the wedding ceremony and hide in the back.

How much trouble could a second-grader cause? Plenty, if it's Horrible Harry. Whether he's making Song Lee scream by showing her his pet snake, or playing a dead fish in the Thanksgiving play, Horrible Harry's just not happy unless he's stirring up trouble. But when one of Harry's classmates tries to get even with him by pasting canary stickers on his chair, lunch box, and library book, a showdown can't be far off.

The school year is ending, and Song Lee has invited Harry and some other classmates to an amusement park for a party. Everyone is looking forward to the rides: canoeing down the waterfall on Kasploosh Mountain, enjoying the '60s music and cars on Main Street, and floating through the Haunted House. But when Sydney starts talking about the newest ride, the Drop of Doom, Harry turn pale. It is an elevator that falls 13 floors! Harry usually loves horrible things. Why isn’t he excited about the Drop of Doom?

The last day of third grade is approaching fast, but a farewell to Room 3B isn't the only good-bye Doug has to say this year. Song Lee and Mary are busy preparing an end-of-year present for their favorite teacher, Mrs. Flaubert, but their excitement can't distract Doug from Harry's suspicious silence. When Harry finally admits that his family is moving to a whole other town, Doug can't believe his ears. How will he survive fourth grade without his best friend?! 

Horrible Harry has caused a lot of trouble at school, but this time, he's taken it to a new level. When Sid ruins an origami insect Song Lee made, Harry defends her - by targeting Sid for some serious revenge. No one knows when, where, or how, but Harry is determined to get back at Sid! Will it be on Pajama Day, when the kids wear their PJs to school? Will it happen in Room 3B? Or will Harry's horrible plan mean Sid is the only one not invited to Harry's ninth birthday party?

Horrible Harry has always loved insects, especially digging in the dirt for them. And, recently, he's discovered a new favorite: earwigs! But when he tries to tell his friends about these critters, only Song Lee listens. So when Miss Mackle assigns groups in Room 3B to act out different fairy tales, Harry sees an opportunity to teach the class about his favorite bug. Will they think his play is hilarious...or horrible?

The kids in room 3B have found out that their teacher, Miss Mackle, is engaged! But who is the lucky groom? Leave it to Harry and his best friend, Doug, to find out. Harry goes into detective mode, and wastes no time starting his investigation. Doug is willing to help - until he sees Harry stealing a piece of evidence. Doug can't believe it! But Harry thinks his risky move is worth it. After all, he manages to crack the case and tells everyone who Miss Mackle is going to marry. But does Harry really have all the facts, or has he made a horrible mistake?

Doug discovers that though being Harry's best friend in Miss Mackle's second grade class isn't always easy, as Harry likes to do horrible things, it is often a lot of fun.

Horrible Harry thinks he's the world's second-best detective - second only to Sherlock Holmes, of course. But the rest of the kids in Room 3B aren't so sure. So he's determined to prove himself by solving the latest mystery at South School - how to win the new cafeteria contest. He knows the cafeteria lady is using a special mathematical code, but can he crack the code before his classmate Mary tattles on him again? Or will the case go cold right before Harry's eyes?

Ever since Herbie Jones had to be Annabelle's partner in the class dance contest, he's been acting weird, even going to the library instead of going fishing with his best friend, Raymond. Lucky for Herbie, Raymond is determined to get to the bottom of this mess.

When a cafeteria contest kicks off in school, all the kids in Room 3B are eager to take the prize - and none more than Horrible Harry. It seems the day's winners are being decided by a mathematical code, and if Harry can crack it he'll get a leg up on his competition. But cracking the code is easier said than done, and if pesky Mary finds out what he's up to, she's sure to cry foul.

It's Field Day at South School, and this year the winner will get to choose a coveted prize for his or her homeroom. Harry is determined to choose the prize, but Doug worries at what cost. When his best friend starts winning challenges with his unconventional techniques, the rest of Room 3B responds in kind. A disastrous tug-of-war shows the class that winning isn't everything, and revenge isn't as sweet as it might seem.

In the 35th Horrible Harry book, Doug has a horrible problem: head lice! When Doug discovers head lice in his hair, he's grossed out and embarrassed. Some of his classmates make fun of him for being dirty. Fortunately, with the help of good friends and the kind school nurse, Doug gets over his embarrassment, kills the bugs, and gets an award-winning science fair project out of the experience!

Everyone in Mrs. Mackle’s class knows that Horrible Harry likes to do horrible things. That’s how he got his nickname. He likes gross things, too, like the dead flies Song Lee brought in to feed the class water frog. But when someone sends Song Lee two “I hate you” notes, no one thinks of Harry. He wouldn’t send such mean notes to the nicest person in the class. All the students wonder who wrote them - and what Song Lee is going to do.

One day in October, Miss Mackle brings a comfy sofa into her classroom. Horrible Harry and the other students love the bright yellow moons that decorate its covering. Soon the whole class starts gathering information about the moon. The students wish they had a telescope, so they could really study the moon. Join Horrible Harry and his friends as they find a way to have their very own moonwatch. Of course, Horrible Harry is also planning a surprise for the class! The four adventures in Horrible Harry Goes to the Moon are sure to keep young readers laughing out loud.

Nearly every kid in Room 3B is trying to get picked for the South School Safety Patrol Squad - especially Harry. Harry wants a star badge just like his grandpa's, so he works extra hard to be the perfect student: hanging up his jacket neatly, organizing the crayons in rainbow order, and - his favorite part - cleaning up sticky noodles off the floor after lunch. But Doug thinks someone is taking the power of Safety Patrol too far, maybe even using it to cheat at the Spring Book Fair Raffle!

Horrible Harry’s best friend, Doug, knows how much Harry loves “slimy things, hairy things, and creepy things.” In Room 2B, the two classmates find plenty of exciting things to study and enjoy. Leave it to Harry, though, to always find something horrible to explore. This winter, the most horrible thing of all happens to Harry. As he watches a girl in his class feed liver to her pet water frog, Harry falls in love! Soon Harry’s behavior begins to change, and Doug worries, will Harry stop being horrible for good?
