Vedas are ancient and most revered scriptures of the Vedic Sanatana Dharma, which is also known as 'Hinduism'. A seeker who studies the Vedas goes through a process of spiritual evolution towards attaining the ultimate knowledge and wisdom and realize their Divine SELF, which is the All-pervading Brahman.

Almost all organized religions ensure that the thinking faculty of people is under the control of the few that head them. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita, one of the most important scriptures revered by the followers of the Sanatana Dharma aka Hinduism, is a transcript of the dialogue between Shri Bhagavan Krishna and Arjuna at the battlefield of Kurukshetra, as reported to king Dhritarashtra by his charioteer Sanjaya. The scripture begins with the chapter that talks about the feelings of despondency, weakness, and confusion that took over Arjuna's intellect.

This run-through is ideal for everyone who has already read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and for those who somehow that think it is boring, sleep-inducing, too long, very complicated, and that they would read it when they cross 60 or 70. An important fact of life is that happiness and sadness are like summer and winter - they come and go. Most issues in life can be easily handled, and even the greatest of challenges can be comfortably overcome simply by altering one's way of perceiving them. This calls for mastery over one's own mind.
