News photographer Mike Scott is on a dive vacation and gets taken hostage when the theft doesn’t go as planned. When the identity of the head pirate is exposed, he declares all the passengers will die when they reach their destination. It’s up to Mike, the passengers, and crew to overcome the pirates and save their own lives. It doesn’t help matters that there is a mole on board feeding the pirates information and they are heading right into a storm. Now they must rebel against the pirates and take the boat back before time runs out.

The gruesome death of a girl, a protest of new development, and the systematic destruction of coral reefs on Grand Cayman all alert photojournalist Mike Scott that criminal elements are at work on the idyllic island. When Mike’s buddy Kelly is kidnapped, it is a race against time for Mike to save his friend and bring down the greedy developer putting his own wealth before the beauty of the island and the welfare of the people.

When the crew from the nationally-syndicated ScubaRadio comes to sleepy Withrow Key for a lionfish rodeo, things start going wrong immediately. The host, "Greg the Divemaster" Holt, can barely dive. When Jackson Pauley spears a lionfish, Greg grabs it and gets stung. The radio show is a disaster. When Duffy, the local bar owner, goes missing amid rumors of hidden pirate treasure, Jackson, Littlebear and Zach jump into action and the chase is on. They only have a few hours to unravel the mystery and save their friend.

Mike Scott is nearly killed when a private jet crashes into the ocean near him in the waters off Curacao. The cause of the crash is mysterious, but when men try to kidnap the plane's pilot, whom Mike helped save, he realizes there is a conspiracy to cover up evidence.
