Aisling Grimlock

Aisling Grimlock never thought she'd join the family business. In fact, she was dead set against it. When an economic downturn causes her to lose her job, she's forced to go to desperate measures to earn a living. Aisling comes from a big family of grim reapers - no, that's right. She's the youngest of five siblings - and the only girl - and the testosterone is going to hit the fan when the Grimlocks try to teach Aisling the ropes and keep her safe at the same time.

Aisling Grimlock is having a bad week. Well, actually, she's having a bad life - not that she's complaining. Okay, she's totally complaining. After being laid off from her secretarial position, she has no choice but to join the family business, and now she's a full-time grim reaper. That's right. She collects and transfers souls to the hereafter.

Being a grim reaper isn't easy, but answering to family is even worse. Between argumentative souls, overbearing older brothers, and everyday nonsense, Aisling Grimlock has her hands full. When a run-of-the-mill job goes awry, Aisling finds herself in a mess. The soul she was supposed to collect is still amongst the living, and the man who wanted to kill him is dead instead.

Michigan's most calamity-prone grim reaper is in a pickle, and the only one she can trust with a haunting secret is her boyfriend Griffin. Aisling is determined to find answers before she unloads a truth on her family, but when things become dangerous, Aisling's life is in jeopardy, again. The wraiths are back, and their primary goal appears to be getting their hands on Aisling. They've enlisted other supernatural help this time, and when gargoyles literally start dropping from the sky, Aisling has no choice but to be honest.

The one thing you can always say about Aisling Grimlock is that her life is never boring. Never. Not even for five minutes. She’s a grim reaper by trade, a sister by birth, and a pain in the butt by choice. She lives in a world that’s always changing, rearranging, and even growing. This omnibus includes three titles: Grim Reunion, Grim Expectations, and Grim Holiday.   

Aisling Grimlock has a lot going on. Her boyfriend is keeping a secret with her brother. She's finally on her own collecting souls for the family reaping business. Oh, and her mother is back from the dead and may be eating people to keep herself alive. When trouble comes knocking and someone Aisling adores is left injured in the crossfire, she's out for blood and vengeance. Her brothers want to believe their mother is telling the truth but protecting those she loves is more important than buried memories.

Aisling Grimlock is living a charmed life...kind of. Things are going well for Michigan's favorite grim reaper, though. She's moving in with her boyfriend Griffin Taylor, her best friend Jerry is doing his best not to melt down and her back-from-the-dead mother doesn't appear to be munching on the unsuspecting populace. Er, well, maybe. All of that changes when another reaping family goes missing and Aisling and her merry band of family and friends are tossed into the middle of a mystery that will have long-lasting repercussions.

Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, but Aisling Grimlock is feeling anything but festive. For her, the world seems to be shrinking, and good cheer is hard to find. Aisling’s worry about meeting her live-in boyfriend Griffin Taylor's mother takes a backseat when a new enemy appears, this one haunting Aisling in mirrors and turning up at the exact wrong time. The creature seems fascinated with Aisling - following her from one mirror to the next and threatening her very survival.

Aisling Grimlock should be happy. She’s living with and engaged to the man of her dreams, her mother isn’t eating people...at least out in the open, her best friend is distracted by wedding details...mostly, and there are zombies running around Detroit. Yeah, it’s that last one that’s driving her crazy...especially because no one in her family believes her when she spouts the tall tale. Aisling Grimlock is a reaper in trouble. She’s got big decisions in front of her and nonstop trouble chasing behind. The dead appear to be rising...and they’ve got their eyes on Aisling.

A series of storms hits, and the Michigan populace starts turning downright dangerous. Aisling is convinced the storms are magical in origin. Of course, because she’s prone to theatrical fits, no one believes her...until the storms hit too close to home, and Aisling herself is in danger from the one person she trusts above all others. As a cop, Griffin Davenport is used to putting his life on the line. What he’s not comfortable with is being a threat to the people he’s supposed to be helping. The storms, you see, don’t affect reapers, but those they love are in a heap of danger.   

Weddings are supposed to be all about white veils, flowers and happily ever after. For Aisling Grimlock, she wants the ending … but the journey isn’t quite finished. Ever since her mother returned from the dead almost a year prior, Aisling has been riddled with doubts. Is Lily Grimlock a killer? What does she ultimately want? Does she have anyone’s best interests at heart? All of those questions are about to be answered, although the person providing the information is one Aisling thought she would never see again. Another woman, another time, another mother.

Aisling Grimlock has been through more than most reapers can bear...and still she’s standing...Aisling may be spoiled, but she’s a fighter to the core. She won’t give up until every question is answered...and that’s where things are heading as her wedding approaches and her mother’s ultimate fate is finally sealed.
