Blackout: A Tale of Survival in a Powerless World

No power, no water, no emergency services, and hundreds dying by the day. This is Georgie Fitz’s reality when an EMP bomb goes off over her home in Denver, Colorado. As one of the few who knows how to survive the start of an apocalypse, she sets out with her boyfriend to escape the city. After all, the darkness of the Rockies is safer than the violence in the streets.

After an EMP bomb detonates over the United States, frying the entire electrical grid, Georgie Fitz decides to take refuge at her estranged father’s cabin in the Rocky Mountains with her boyfriend and his family. When they arrive, Georgie discovers that a group of survivalists have already erected a camp there, and her father is nowhere to be found. As she adjusts to her new normal, she has trouble adhering to the survivalists' rules. Can she fit in at the camp and find out what happened to her father?

After Camp Haven is burned to the ground and her friends are kidnapped, Georgie Fitz has only one person to turn to for help: her estranged father. Reunited after nine years, the father-daughter duo must put aside their differences from the past to move forward, but old wounds prove hard to close. Both George and her father have their own agenda. Can they learn to compromise in time to save the people that they love?
