The Little Knitting Box has been in Cleo’s family for nearly four decades, and Cleo’s to manage for four years - ever since she arrived in New York, fresh off the plane from the Cotswolds. But instead of an early Christmas card in the mail this year, she gets a letter that tips her world on its axis. New York was supposed to be her second chance, do people get third chances?

When Darcy returns to Manhattan, she’s put in charge of the Inglenook Inn, a cosy boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village. The Inn needs a boost in bookings if it’s to survive, so Darcy is convinced that hosting Christmas this year is the answer. What she doesn’t expect is to meet a face from the past, which can only spell trouble. Myles left England behind and took a job in New York. It’s a step forwards in his career, and has the added bonus of being nowhere near his family. He’s also hoping to avoid Christmas, the worst time of the year.

When Amelia arrives in Manhattan to help Cleo at her knitting stall, and Nathan comes to New York for a holiday with his daughter, both soon realize they won’t be getting quite the peaceful escape they’d imagined. Amelia is used to putting other people first, and this year is no exception. With surly nephew Kyle in tow, she has her work cut out trying to get both him and his mum to work through their problems before it’s too late.

It’s Thanksgiving, and friends are gathered at the Inglenook Inn in New York City to celebrate together. Cleo and Dylan finally have all their preparations in place for a perfect Christmas Eve wedding, but will it go according to plan? Kaisha is not only Cleo’s employee but a good friend too, and she’d do anything for the woman she sees as more of a sister than her own. She would never hurt Cleo or let anyone else ruin things for her friend, so she has put her own long-term dreams on hold and is determined to see to it that Cleo’s wedding to Dylan goes without a hitch.

Rupert has been the chef at the Inglenook Inn for years. He loves working at the boutique hotel, crafting exquisite meals and fantastic desserts for each and every guest.
