Summary

Cassie Wright, porn priestess, intends to cap her legendary career by breaking the world record for serial fornication. On camera. With 600 men. Snuff unfolds from the perspectives of Mr. 72, Mr. 137, and Mr. 600, who await their turn on camera in a very crowded green room. This wild, lethally funny, and thoroughly researched novel brings the huge yet underacknowledged presence of pornography in contemporary life into the realm of literary fiction at last. Who else but Chuck Palahniuk would dare do such a thing? Who else could do it so well, so unflinchingly, and with such an incendiary (you might say) climax?©2008 Chcuk Palahniuk (P)2008 Tantor Fiction Genre Fiction Literary Fiction Literature & Fiction Comedy

Vile and depressing. A great way to punish yourself for being a porn consumer. True fact.

Amazing well researched novel of epic post-modern absurdist quality! A must read for anyone willing to challenge themselves with disturbing detail. After this porn will never be the same to you again. Enriching account of the so called “entertainment” industry. Take this darkly wild ride it’s worth every minute. Extremely well written with Proust like detail meeting the hyper-text Information Age of narrative. Well voice acted as well the reading makes the listener feel like they are inside the story-telling.

Porn hell scape of genius

i kept waiting for the story or the characters or the theme to coalesce into something, anything, resembling a point of view. Never happened. In the end it's a flat line from beginning to end. Maybe it's supposed to be unsettling? But to whom and why? Rating 2 stars because even a book you don't like teaches you something about your own taste.
