This book is intended for adults only. It is an erotic story from the Victorian era, written by Edward Sellon, a prolific writer of such erotic stories.
The hero, or perhaps "anti-hero", of this novella is a sensual surgeon, who lovingly tends to the ladies of his practice, offering sexual experiences to his female patient as as well as medicine. As is the case with most erotic books of this period, it is extremely "bawdy" and sexually explicit, no doubt as a "pushback" to the extreme puritanism of official Victorian society.
