Started off surprisingly heavy
The beginning weighted down my soul as the situation became progressively sour for the main character. As the story continued, I was eager to see how things turned out and looked forward to potential confrontations between the characters. Having personal experience with "unfriendly" people I can see how some people might be triggered, but it's a book, and I like reading relatable content - even if the overall life situations are not all relatable.
Furthermore, these narrators are two I'm already familiar with from other novels and believe they are both amazing.

I thought this would just be another predictable romance story but it was actually pretty good and pretty steamy!

Pleasantly Surprised!
I always read reviews and of course listen to the sample of each audio. Familiar with the narrators, and enjoy their performances I thought I would listen to this new to me author. Not disappointed, Trilina has now been added to my favorite authors. Dark in areas that may be out of some people's comfort zones but it is worth it. Looking forward to the second novel in the series.

Loved the fmc and how she refused to bow down once she realized her power. Definitely interested in the other 2 books. Which they were also aidibleplus

Love it!
Having already read the book I knew this would be GREAT! These narrators really brought King and Drew’s story to life.
