Sadie Powell is going on an adventure. After her beloved mother has a health scare, Sadie decides it's finally time to see the world. So, Sadie crosses the Atlantic to work as an au pair for a year. Austria's supposed to be nice: chocolate, beer, and scenic mountain ranges beckon. She'll figure out teaching and living with an Austrian family along the way.

I get what the other review is saying and "has anyone heard from Sadie lately" really cracked me up, but despite there being a large power imbalance in the relationship it didn't bother me because I didn't feel like Inga took advantage of it. Still, the older woman is Sadie's employer, rich when Sadie isn't, powerful in business, and Sadie is isolated in the countryside so I can understand why some people would take it wrong especially when Inga is also dominant in bed... but I never got the impression of anything but (very) enthusiastic consent from Sadie. I hope this is enough for people to decide if it's for them without giving spoilers.

Gabra Zackman was great as usual. She has such a sensuous voice. Her character voices were decent and it's nice they got someone who could pronounce the German in the book.

I didn’t hate the story however, I think some people could view some parts of this book as problematic lol. I mean…are we sure Sadie actually wants to be there? Has anyone heard from Sadie lately? Is she okay?
