This was such a surprise!
I went in thinking it was just going to be a fast, fun, very spicy palette cleanser between heavier fantasy reads. Well, it *was* fast, fun, and spicy…but it also had a great plot, fast paced storyline, was laugh out loud funny, and had amazing character growth. I loved it!
Shane and Claire had a great dynamic and played off one another so well. The spice didn’t feel repetitive or forced or awkward within the story. And despite a tiny misunderstanding(I usually HATE this) the story wrapped up so beautifully.
The dual narration was well done and both narrators suited their respective characters well.
I can’t wait to read more by the author and I hope Caine and Delaney get their own books.
