Alan Bingham is a retired hospice and palliative care executive who has spent many hours with terminal patients and their families. He is a graduate of two schools of management with a liberal arts background in psychology and philosophy. Alan spent most of his career in healthcare informatics, working on privacy and confidentiality for HIPAA, developing information systems for physicians, hospitals and therapists. He was a HIPAA compliance officer and still works as a long term care ombudsman. Alan was born, and grew up, in Australia and now lives in Somerville, Massachusetts with his wife and two cats.
