'The Foreign Aide', available now, is a dark fiction shaped by his experience as a first-hand witness of the early months of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975, just as his working life was starting. 'The Marathon Years', set for a December release, reads like fiction too, but it's the true story of more than a decade battling dementia after his wife Lena was diagnosed — a story that shows how love and hope can survive even in the darkest times.
